2021-2026 Open Source Professional

I join Bitergia and engage with communities related to my work (Apache Software Foundation, OpenInfra Foundation, Eclipse Foundation, WikiMedia Foundation, OpenSearch, FreeBSD, etc).

I become a member of InnerSource Commons, participate in OSPO Alliance and CHAOSS, and follow the ToDo Group.

I’ve attended international events like FosDem, Open Source Summit Europe, CHAOSScon, Mercedes-Benz FOSS Convention.

1998 - 2021 The Early Years

2018-2020 Development Engagement

I engage with FreedomBox as a translator and use the pandemic lock-down to get hands-on in source code maintenance.

2011-2017 Absence

Sabbatical period (paused contributions) to focus on parenting. I attend some local community events. I learn and practice Shell, Groovy, Java and Python, first for personal projects, then for work.

2004-2011 Activist Engagement

I was briefly program manager for Linux products and a regular free software desktop user. Then, I engage in several communities and contribute translations, office work and organizational guidance. I help organize events like the first JoomlaDay Spain and some smaller ones.

1998-2003 Awareness

I discover the concepts of Free Software and Open Source, read a lot, follow websites, discover projects and experiment a bit with Linux, HTML, and PHP.
